A Compassionate, Sports Medicine Perspective.

I am board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics and Primary Podiatric Medicine. I am also a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Orthopedics and Medicine. In addition to medical training and experience, I have a firsthand understanding of the care and treatment of athletes. I was a competitive runner in high school and college and ran and raced for nearly 45 years. I have also played basketball, baseball, softball, and tennis for most of my life. My athletic pursuits have given me an inside perspective on sports medicine and the importance of overall foot and ankle health.

Personal

I was born in Malden, Massachusetts, and raised in Brooklyn, New York. I moved to the Washington area in 1970 to complete a residency after graduating from podiatry school. I was a runner for nearly 45 years, competing in high school and college and completing five marathons, including the New York and Marine Corps marathons. I raised my two children in Reston and now live in Vienna, with my wife, Vickie. We enjoy spending time with our blended family of five children and four grandchildren.

One of the most gratifying aspects of serving the Fairfax community for more than 30 years has been getting to know area families and watching them and the community grow. I look forward to treating you and your family.
